Most additional extension's are open source, which means the code is available to be edited. Open-source does not mean there are no costs, most component's and template's have cost's associated with them.

We will actually talk on the phone and I will spend at least one week working on your new website. Your site can and most likely be up and running at its new location within 24-48 hours. We offer Cpanel with all the latest features and the ability to create your own e-mail addresses, forward e-mail and basically look after all parts of your website and hosting. We are well aware that many Businesses are not interested in logging into any control panel or knowing to much about Internet Technology in general. This is not a problem for Baratta Design, we prefer to look after all your needs, daily, weekly or as required.Webmaster or contract type services are available on a first come first serve bases. We will be taking on a limited number of contracts for 'total care'. You will find the costs are much less than employing your own IT department. We can discuss your requirement's and figure out what, if any, extra extension(s) you may need for your website. I include one hour of no charge consultation. You may read that Joomla is easy and in time it can be, if your goal is to look after your own website. You may have a person at your office that can be your webmaster. I can be on call so to speak for a 2 hour, $90.00 per month cost. This basic support package can normally handle looking after your Joomla upgrades plus the various components you may be using. Baratta Design does not currently offer any no charge training or teaching of Joomla. Baratta Design can be hired to look after as little or as much of your website as you want. Monthly service's start at $45.00 per month. (Approximately 1 hour of time per month to keep your site software updated) Why Open-source? Open-Source does not mean free, it only means the code is not encripted. If you have ever paid for software and the development either slowed to no bug fixes, no new features or disappeared all together you can appreciate what open-source is. Most software must be updated or upgraded over time as operating systems change, browsers change and server software changes. It is very rare to find software that will continue to function correctly over all platforms, year after year. It is much rarer to find software that does not have a bug or two that need fixing, this is normal. |
