Now that Virtuemart has put out a new stabel 1.10 release and Joomla has a new 1.53 version,  this has all happened recently within a few months of each other, it is important make sure you get up-to-date. Joomlart will have a new version of the template out and they may or may not have the new Virtuemart in the quick start. Virtuemart just put out the latest stable version this April 2008 so it is not likely Larix has the latest version of Virtuemart intergated yet.
