Are you waiting for Community Builder's subscription component? There is no need to wait, Joomla Suite already works with Joomla 1.51 as a subscription component without any hacks or legacy mode. CB appears to have put out the mambot to the test team that restricts content access.

Joomla Suite has always had that feature even with their Joomla 1.0.13 versions. If you are still using Joomla 1.0x Joomla Equipment has a subscription component for you without hacks also. Personally I like Community Builder because there are many components that work with CB but sometimes a developer just can't wait. Community Builder is, for the most part, opensource so you don't have to buy it.

Joomla Suite's components are commerical and require the IonCube to be installed on your hosting account or server. This is not an issue if you are hosted with Baratta Design as we do have the IonCube ready to go. Joomla Suite's components are not cheap and Community Builder's subscription component will not be opensource to the best of my knowledge they will be charging for their subscription component. Community Builder's subscription component is not ready as of March 19 - 2008 but should be available soon.
