The LeagueMan component for Joomla is an excellent looking component, even though I do not play any sports myself I have friends who do. It has been many years since I played hockey. This is what I find makes Joomla an excellent choice for a content management system and website. If there isn't currently a component or solution for your Internet needs, one will likely be made soon. I look forward to test driving this one. Do you have a team site or a customer with one? At the Leagueman site they also offer a complete Joomla installation with the league component built in and several other popular Joomla extensions in a bundle. I will report back here how the installation goes. We will see if it can pass the 'Jim' test. I am sure it is useful but it will have to be easy to use, Jim would rather be playing ball!

It appears PHP 5 is a must have to run LeagueMan. That counts me out for now but, I 'll be back!  (Update January 2008) We now have PHP 5 available.

You can easily have PHP 5 and run the Leagueman component. All you need is the right type of hosting account. Baratta Design offers several different configurations of PHP 4 and 5 as well as My SQL 4 and 5.
